Family Rights Group is delighted that we have received funding from Lankelly Chase Foundation to develop Your Family, Your Voice – An Alliance of families and practitioners working to transform the system.
The 3 year programme of work which began in June 2014 is led by Family Rights Group with empirical research conducted by Professors Brigid Featherstone and Kate Morris.
How to get involved?
What will Your Family, Your Voice try to achieve?
The Alliance will work to:
- Counter the stigma, negative presumptions and judgemental approaches to families whose children are subject to, or at risk of, state intervention by influencing how these families are perceived by the public and portrayed by the media and politicians;
- Influence law, policy, practice and service design and delivery so that our child welfare, child mental health, youth justice and education systems promote effective human functioning and healthy relationships;
- Enable these families to have a voice in policy and decision-making circles.
What are the goals of the Alliance?
