Hi all
Not sure if anyone’s gone through something similar but here goes ,
I haven’t seen my children for some time , against my wishes and started the mediation process . My ex didn’t participate . Therefore I started the court proceedings
2 weeks before my first court date my ex has submitted an allegation form to the courts that is full of some horrible serious allegations , that are entirely fabricated . This was repeated during the Cafcass call and subsequently my partner has been informed that I can’t see her son until such time that a Safety Asssessment has been completed.
Question : how long does this process take ?
It’s really difficult not being able to see my children this time of year and also now I can’t spend time with my partner . Due to see my solicitor and barrister this week to discuss

I am sorry to hear that you have not been able to see your children for some time. You explain that you are currently in private family law proceedings and are legally represented. You write that children’s services have advised your partner of your ex’s allegations and asked her to work with them on a safety assessment before allowing your contact with her child. You want to know the likely timescales for this. You should ask your partner to contact the relevant children’s services and ask for this clarification, as she is the person with parental responsibility for her son and should have the process explained to her.
