Kevin became a father at the age of 17. He was committed to parenting his son. During the child welfare process, Kevin’s strengths and perspective were consistently overlooked, however, he successfully presented his case to court and is now raising his son. During that time, he developed a deep passion for working with and supporting other families involved with children’s services.
Kevin has worked with Coram Family and Childcare, as a consultant for Young Dads Collective, delivering workshops across England, training practitioners on how to engage with fathers and the importance of engaging fathers.
Kevin supports family group conferences. He has been acknowledged in Deanna Edwards and Kate Parkinson’s book “Family Group Conferences in Social Work: Involving Families in Social Care Decision Making”.
