Our advice service

We provide advice to parents, grandparents, relatives, friends and kinship carers who are involved with children’s services in England or need their help. We can help you understand processes and options when social workers or courts are making decisions about your child’s welfare.

Family Group Conference Coordinator – Wiltshire – Daybreak

Are you a trained and experienced Family Group Conference Coordinator, or interested in becoming one and able to work throughout Wiltshire?

Daybreak, a registered charity, is inviting trained Family Group Coordinators to join our team, as an employed position supporting their Wiltshire services.

Salary range: £26,300 – £30,300 FTE
Location: Across the county of Wiltshire
Working pattern:
Flexible to suit you and the needs of each case, with a combination of working from home and traveling to see families
Contract: Employed, Full Time

We are welcoming compassionate, committed, and professional Coordinators who excel at bringing people together, ensuring everyone is heard and listened to, and delivering quality work for families, every time. We are looking to expand the use of Family Group Conferences to a wide range of environments and referral agents, beyond the primary focus of children’s social services – so now is a great time to join our growing team.

Our Coordinators are experienced in working alongside families facing a diverse range of challenging situations; including but not limited to, mental health, substance abuse, and domestic violence. Whilst it is desirable for candidates to have prior training and experience in Coordination, please note that it is not essential and therefore for the right candidate, we are able to train so please do not let this put you off apply should you feel you meet the rest of the criteria.

The purpose of these solution-focused practices is to bring families together to participate in decision-making and planning processes which will increase the safety and wellbeing of their children, young people, and adults at risk. These voluntary services ensure that children, young people, adults, and families, are appropriately supported to understand the concerns of professionals and are empowered to utilise their knowledge, skills, and resources to make safe and sustainable plans that are future-focused.

As a Family Group Conference Coordinator working for Daybreak, you will lead the negotiations, facilitate, mediate, and advocate early intervention processes in a variety of settings that keep the child, children, young people, and adults at risk voices at the forefront at all times within key decision-making forums, which evidences outcome impacts.

This role will be an integral part of the development, promotion and implementation of current and news service offers, and deliver on our visions, missions, and values throughout Wiltshire and beyond.
