Our advice service

Are you a parent, kinship carer relative or friend of a child who is involved with, or who needs the help of, children’s services in England? We can help you understand processes and options when social workers or courts are making decisions about your child’s welfare.

Our advice service is free, independent and confidential.

Our online advice forums are an anonymous space where parents and kinship carers (also known as family and friends carers) can get legal and practical advice, build a support network and learn from other people’s experiences.

The Family Group Conference Team are looking to appoint a Family Group Conference Coordinator to join it’s busy team.

In this role, you’ll develop your existing skills and expertise by working with children, young people, and their families, enabling them to develop their own effective and family led plans.

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of families supporting them by planning, organising, delivering, and reviewing their Family Group Conferences.

You will also be expected to undertake Mediation cases between family members.

If you enjoy helping families to identify, implement and develop their own solutions and are up for the challenge that being the difference can present, then this could be a great opportunity for you.
