Adoption Contact Register
Under 1 minute read
The Adoption Contact Register helps adults who were adopted as children and their birth relatives get in touch with each other, if they both want to.
Anyone who is over 18 and was adopted as a child can put their details on the register and say they want to make contact with someone in their birth family. They can also use the register to say they do not want to make contact.
The register is not a tracing service. For a connection to happen, both people must have willingly put their names on the register.
