Family support services
A general term used to describe the broad range of support that children’s services may provide to families. This can also include support put in place by other agencies. Early help is a type of family support service.
Family support services can include things such as:
Day care.
Home help.
Parenting skills training.
Support for young carers.
Counselling.
Other support offered through children’s centres and family centres.
