Hi Ann.

With so little information its impossible to say. If you have the child under a RO or SGO, and the person seeking contact had asked for it but the judge ruled against it for specific reasons (E.g. risk of assault), then if you all ow contact you could find SS on your door step asking what is going on. However if there are no welfare issues for the child, and you have one of the above orders, you can simply exercise PR to allow contact.

Yet again, if the child is under a ICO or CO, you would have to refer the matter to the LA as only they have the 'effective PR'.

I suggest you speak to your solicitor, SW or guardian to seek advice. If none of those are practical, then ring the FRG advice line on 0808 801 0366 as you can discuss full details with them in total confidence.

Best wishes ...... Robin
