Success Story

Post by worriednan » Fri Dec 09, 2011 10:40 am

I haven't been on the forum for a long time (had trouble logging in) but I wanted to share our good news with you all.

After 18 months of worrying about g/s (mum is a drug addict) we finally went to court this week and were granted an sgo. We are both over the moon and now know that g/s will be safe, happy and have a good future with us.

It's been a long slog, many meetings and agencies involved but we are finally there.

If anybody wants to read our story its under "Drug addict daughter".

I can't thank you all enough for the support and guidance I have been given since joining this forum, all the times I have posted in tears and have had such amazing replies.

To anyone going through this fight I will say this, it's hard, you put your life on hold and can't think of anything else but if you do get that sgo the weight falls off your shoulders immediately.

We can now look to the future and put this all behind us.

Thank you.

Very good news, worriednan!

(It sounds like you're not really a worried nan any more - maybe happynan would be a better name) ;)
