I'm just curious as to how many assessments are done before going through to panel regarding an SGO. We have already undergone a meeting with the SW's which I suppose was the assessment before the assessment but, we have an official assessment on Monday will this be the only one or will there be more?
I know they have to get medical, CRB e.t.c but after they have all of that do they make their recommendations and then we have to go to panel or? How does it work?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi CarCiko Tab,
You could also have a look at our appendix 3 of our advice sheet about DIY Special Guardianship Orders. (On page 54). It gives the guidelines that a social worker will use when carrying out a special guardianship order assessment.
Best wishes,
Suzie
