Has anyone had any previous experience with a pre birth assessment and what I can expect from this? Referrals were made to SS regarding baby’s father but since finding out I was pregnant that relationship has ended and no longer in contact but have still gone ahead and cooperated with my social care ...

Re: SS
I did ask her, and she said it was consentable I felt the right thing to do was to agree it’s just a meeting with her manager and I’m guessing my midwife and GP who she said more than likely wouldn’t turn up and that they wouldn’t be inviting the police as I have no record so I’m guessing it’s just ...

Re: SS
Hi Suzie,
I’m not sure on what assessment as it was a referral made by midwife with a concern about baby’s father but I am no longer with baby fathers or even in contact with him. I consented to the meeting as I feel like it’s the right thing to do and just means I co operating with them but when ...

Re: SC
Hi Suzie,
I’ve agreed to do the assessment but they are asking if I consent to them contacting father to be I have said I’d rather no contact is had with him as he isn’t on the scene and it will be staying that way once baby is here. Do they have to contact father if he isn’t going to be around

Re: SC
Baby isn’t on a protection plan as they haven’t done the first initial assessment it’s because he has 3 other kids and he doesn’t have them in his care due to not being on the birth certificates so I understand they have a job to do in that sense, but him and those kids aren’t going to be around so ...

Re: Advice needed
It is my first child and no I’m 26 and she hasn’t classed me as vulnerable it’s more to do with his past which I do totally understand, they did explain they would do a assessment but I was under the impression that was more so to do with him and not whether I am capable or not if that’s what they ...
