Cant see my kids anymore

Unread post by Snowking » Thu Sep 15, 2022 12:40 pm

Hi guys, I need some advice.
My ex wife has recently stopped me seeing my kids. I haven't seen them for 5 weeks now.
I have done nothing wrong on my part.
My ex has been hitting our kids. I asked her to stop it, but she kept doing it. She took the kids away to florida in the summer and she was still getting them.
I got the social work involved and they got background reports from school and police and also home visits to both me and my ex.
They have no concerns about me, I have been transparent all they way through separation and I have a good relationship with the school.
My ex told the social work "it's in the best interest of the kids if they don't see me"
Social work disagreed but she went a head with her decision.
I have since found out she has gave up her job to go to uni and do nursing.
It sounds to me as she is being selfish and stopped my access so CSA take more money from to fund her education.
I don't know what I can do. I found cafcass and I got my hopes up thinking they would be able to help but they don't deal with Scottish laws and there is no equivalent in Scotland.
Can someone help me from cracking up, I have already missed one of my kids birthdays and I'm going to miss another one this month.
I would like to get them back before Christmas.
Thanks in advance.

I am sorry to hear that you have fallen victim to parental alienation.
You need to take this matter to court immediately. If you cannot afford a solicitor you can self-represent with the assistance of a McKenzie friend (lay advocate). Most McKenzie friends charge about £50 an hour, but there are people like me who work for free (I just take petrol money and parking charges). Should you want a paid McKenzie friend, I strongly recommend ******, who has a YouTube channel.
Cases like yours make my blood boil. This woman is harming the children with her behaviour. The good news is that courts have tons of experience in parental alienation and if you get enough judgements in your favour then 1. you may find custody of the children is transferred to you and 2. you can make an application to have her thrown in prison for contempt of court.
You need to act as quickly as possible. I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this.

Dear Snowking,

Thank you for your post and my apologies in the delay in responding to you. Unfortunately Family Rights Group cannot offer advice to people who live in Scotland as this is outside of our remit. I would suggest that you contact The Scottish Child Law Centre who have a helpline on 0131 667 6333.

Best wishes,
Suzie
