My family and I are in the unfortunate position of our son having what's described as a ''non accidental injury'' . The case is ongoing but I have no doubt that everything will be ok based on us not doing anything wrong, with the possibility of the supposed ''injury'' actually not being an injury but a birth defect. However, during my relationship with my wife, we have experienced some issues where there's been some arguing, never raised voices or violence of any kind but she has unfortunately called the police a couple of times. This is more just to defuse and a trauma response due to some quite nasty ex partners.
We are both good people and exceptional parents to our child but during the proceedings the LA have expressed that we would need to tell them if we were to reunite and I fear that because of the supposed ''Domestic issues'' they would make it difficult. I've never been convicted of anything and if anything has ever happened its been NFA but the police, things have really have been blown out of proportion, which has all been cleared up in mine an my wife's statements. No arguing or issues ever in front of our child ever.
I'll do anything to be reunited with my family. Neither me or my wife believe that I have been domestically abusive in any way but I'd be willing to do any courses on DA, I do counselling currently, I'd be happy to sign any consequence's and expectations plan, my wife is also doing courses and we are both doing taking very positive steps to better our self for us and in the eyes of the LA.
Is there any advice that anyone could give that's been in a similar situation to help reunite me with my wife and son?

Similar situation , we had an agreed findings at court and one of them was domestic abuse, we as a United couple don't agree to this finding but because they read some text messages which can be ambiguous they still noted it down,
I would be interested to know if the judge would of made this finding without our solicitors agreeing to it and we would of said otherwise. Yes some issues need help but not for domestic abuse.

Thank you for your update.
From what you have written I would like to signpost you to Respect and to Women’s Aid.
At Relate you may be able to access couples counselling.
Domestic abuse (DV/DA) as you will read covers a whole range of situations that can arise in relationships/families, social workers will (always) discuss or outline their concerns about DV to parents.
For your information here are our webpages about care and relate proceedings, I hope they are helpful.
Best wishes
Suzie

Thank you for your comment. Solicitors ‘take instructions’ from their clients and then ‘pass on’/outline/discuss these instructions/wishes/views with decision makers (magistrates/judges).
Here is our guide to working with solicitors and here is information about what solicitors do from the Law Society.
Best wishes

That may be the case in 99% of cases but in ours we felt they were working against us, we gave them our views and they went against it, even the IRO was shocked recently what we were told and given wrong information.
