Is the social worker allowed to just call me names?
She's called me "manipulative", told me i "don't take responsibility" for things, told me i "lack empathy" all sorts of horrific things to say to a grieving parent. She's even told me that I was "as bad as" my ex regarding abuse. But the judge has not made any findings that call me any names at all, nor did he make a finding claiming the abuse was "mutual". Is she allowed to say all these awful things direct to my face at review meetings even though these aren't findings of fact?

Dear QuestionMark,
Children services files need to comply with the data protection Law and so be an accurate record.
When the social worker used these words against you, were you able to challenge her at the time or have you seen them in the minutes of meeting that you di not attend?
A social worker is able to exercise her opinion (so could say that you do not take responsibility for something) but her opinion must be based on correct facts. Does she back up her opinion with facts?
I am assuming that the court hearing you are referring to took place after this meeting. If that is the case, you could ask that in light of the courts findings, that the errors are pointed out and the assessment of you is updated to reflect what the court said.
Best wishes,
Suzie
