Second pregnancy with previous involvement

Hi, I haven't posted on here for a while! We had SS involved with our first baby last year. They were involved from June to October 2019 and then after months of stress the case was thankfully closed. We've recently found out I am pregnant again, I had my booking appointment this morning over the phone and the midwife asked if we had ever had SS involved. I was honest with her and told her the whole situation and that it was now closed, but I'm really nervous now! If the case was closed and there was no further worries or follow up or anything is it likely they will get involved again? It was the worst time of our lives and I really really don't want to have to go through it all again. Just looking for some reassurance that we won't have our whole lives turned upside down again

I would really like to know if they do get involved again. Currently we are involved with SS, child protection plan is due to end soon and case will be closed. However I would like to know if in the future I get pregnant if they do get involved again. I dont think I could go through it again. I feel your pain, it has been the most traumatic and stressful time of our lives. I dont wish it upon anyone.

Welcome, back to the Parents Forum. Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I can see that children services closed their case as they had no worries about your family. You are worried that they will re- open the case now you are pregnant. Firstly, I would like to say that you did the right thing by letting the midwife know. I referral may be to children services, and a decision will be made whether to open the case again. This will depend on why they were involved before.
