Hi I am non-binary (assigned female at birth).
You are correct that youngsters with ASD are statistically less likely to be cisgender (the gender that they were assigned at birth).
I do not care if Suzie disagrees....I would say that one should respect the pronouns of every human being, both on and off the spectrum.
My experience of the trans community is that you would NOT be encouraging them to transition by respecting their pronoun choice.
You are correct that there are young people (many of whom are autistic) who take the puberty blockers and later regret their choice. You would be correct to implore your child to consider surgery very carefully, so they do not end up doing something they regret.
However, please respect pronouns and if they change name, do not deadname them. It is hurtful and unnecessary.
