Advice & Help please
My granddaughters mother was accused of heavy drinking by her older daughters, there was no evidence or proof my daughter in law denied this. Since January 22 to Oct 22 there was 2 occasions when a sw visited during the summer whereby my daughter in law was socialising in her garden with a neighbor next door she admitted she drank 2 bottles of fruit cider, she wasn’t drunk but Sw stayed till older daughter came home. My daughter in law has struggled to make friends not having lived here all her life, she was asked by mums at school to join them on a night when my granddaughter was staying at her dads. She acknowledged she had too much to drink and instead of going on with them to another pub she went home. She got ready for bed and fell asleep. Because of trauma in her life she has nightmares as a result 2 of her older daughters went into the bedroom and video her along with trying to get her to go get into bed ( she finds lying on the floor more comfy as she has chronic pain). CS then said she must have an appropriate adult with her and not look after her daughter alone. They tried for a care order previously but my granddaughter is doing well at school and is always dressed appropriately and clean. So SW was told no need for an order. We really don’t know what to do, my son may have to give up work to be full time carer and myself and my ex husband have been et witnessed daughter in law under the influence and visited at odd times and not always notified her. There is much more I could say but really need some responses. Help
