Our case has now passed the point where all 7 medical reports have been submitted, 6 of them are in our favour and seem very balanced, our son's specialist has also written to the court explaining how all of his injuries can be explained due to accidents and his underlying generic disorder.
Unfortunately the last report from the paediatrician goes completely against the reports and written opinions of at least 4 other specialists who have treated our son.
The paediatrician, I have since found out, has a reputation in this respect and has attacked some of the other reports and our son's doctors in his report to the court. He has also ignored some key points that disprove his findings.
We are hoping that we can have his report excluded in case it results in a change to the outcome of the case on the grounds it is inaccurate. Aside from that, I suspect he has breached professional standards, but I think that is best left out of it.
Can anyone offer any advice on the likely impact of a single report and the best way to get it thrown out by the judge?
Thanks.

Re: Doctors's Report to Court
Dear special_dx
Welcome back to the parents’ discussion board and thank you for your further post. I am sorry that I was not able to respond sooner.
The care proceedings for your son have not yet been completed but it seems that the medical evidence has now been submitted. While 6 of these reports are favourable to you, you strongly disagree with the findings of one paediatric expert and query arguments that he has made and omissions from his report. You are wondering how to address these concerns and the possible impact of this doctor’s evidence on the court’s decision for your son.
The medical evidence in your son’s case is specific to him and the injuries he sustained. Your solicitor and/or barrister are best placed to advise you in relation to this. The expert can be cross-examined on his report and his evidence tested in this way. Again, if you are asking the court to exclude this expert’s report this is a matter for your legal representative to provide you with specific legal advice on. You should ensure that you arrange an appointment to discuss this as soon as possible.
Best wishes
