How does one legally make a complaint against a social worker who preyed on me and my children, she made it a unnecessary battle that did not need to happen and traumatised my children and myself.
I have proof that she made several mistakes that cost us dearly.
She is still working as a social worker and her and her management need struck off.

Dear Spurschic
Welcome to the parents’ discussion board and thank you for your post. My name is Suzie. I am Family Rights Group’s online adviser.
I am very sorry to hear that you have had had a negative experience with a social worker. You state that she made a number of mistakes which had a serious impact on your family. I can see that you are very upset about what happened and therefore want to do something about it.
I can certainly let you know how to make a complaint to children’s services about their involvement/ any decisions they made and how they worked or did not work with you. I can also provide you with links to social workers’ regulatory body if you want to pursue a complaint there about the social worker’s professional conduct and ability to safely practice as a social worker.
However, it may be a good idea for you to ring our freephone advice line if you would like to discuss the circumstances in more detail and to talk through what your options are if unhappy. You do not say if children’s services are still involved and if so, at what level. In some situations this m may have some impact on whether/when to complain. The freephone advice service is open from 930 am to 3.00 pm, Mon to Fri (except bank holiday) on 0808 8010366.
Please see the advice materials on complaints which you can find here. This explains in detail how to make a complaint, the stages involved and also what to do if you conclude children’s services’ complaints process and remain unsatisfied.
Social Work England is the regulatory authority for social workers in England. They investigate concerns about social workers’ fitness to practice. Usually, complaints should be addressed to children’s services first. But you can find out what is meant by fitness to practice here to decide if this is what you are concerned about with the social worker involved with your family.
I hope this is helpful to you. Please get back in touch again if you need to.
Best wishes
Suzie
