Daughter

Unread post by FRS2321 » Mon Nov 20, 2023 1:32 pm

hi, I am looking for some advice with a particular situation,

The dad of my daughter is allowing a man convicted gun crime spend time with them on the weekends he has her, the convicted is on weekend release.

The man convicted is his eldest daughters partner.

Were do I stand with trying to stop this, I have questioned dad and had no response basically he can do as he pleases by no response.

I am worried for my child's safety as I do not know if the convicted is still involved with the gang/gun scene still.

Has anyone got any advice please

Dear FRS2321

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Board.

I am not sure how to respond to your question because it is outside the scope of the topics, we give advice about. However, here is a link to information about the prison service and the probation service where you might find contact details in your area. Perhaps you could contact them and raise your concerns?

If there is a child arrangements order in respect of your daughter, her father, ‘may exercise’ his parental responsibility when she is in his care. If you say she is not safe you might be able to vary the child arrangements order.

I hope this response is helpful.

Best wishes
Suzie
