We have had no LAC Review or Social Worker Visit Reports for 7 years.
Despite our son being securely attached and saying constantly in cards at Christmas howucb he misses us, we are told that at aged 8 he decided not to see us. This is illegal.
They will provide no dates or names as to when and how the decision was made. They have falsified numerous documents and our Court Order does not exist at xxx Transcribers as it's CD recording is distorted along with 1000s of others according to the clerk there, who was fired after telling us.
Our son was taken in strange circumstances. A thriving, violin playing, karate yellow belt, captain of football team and greater than expected grades. Never late or absent, popular, kind and thriving. After taking local kids football club to court for having plastic bags full of kids passports and no dbS for 200 kids, the attached xxx housing org/church money laundering housing group, xxx, placed a person next door to us, who police told me at a Sarah's law interview was a danger and who had blown up xxxx (address removed by Suzie)
He terrorised neighbours with noise - he had put a hole through the ceiling of his neighbours at xxxx (address removed by Suzie), he blamed noise on us, and xxx (our son – edited by Suzie) was taken in the night after his 8th bday party.
He has been in care for 7 years and we never see it hear from him. I was dep6after he went but have been fighting again.
There was no reason for us not to see him.
I IRO used fake names on the 2 LAC reports we managed to get. Fake dates. Recommendations all ignored. When queried he took 7 weeks holiday. DCS and CEO have ignored 130 emails.
My question here is, the Social Worker visits him every 6 weeks. How long should it take her to get a copy of her Social Worker Visit report to Birth Parents?
Thank you,
VB2008

Re: Social Worker Visit Reports
Dear VB2008,
Thank you for your post.
You say that your son is has been in care for the last 7 years. You say that the circumstances around this were unusual and unjustified, and that you now do not have any contact and do not receive any updates from children's services. You have tried to contact the IRO but have received no help.
I am sorry to hear about the difficult situation you are facing. As your son is under a care order, he is a looked after child. This means the local authority have a duty to allow you to have reasonable contact with your child. This should be outlined in his care plan. The local authority only have the power to stop contact for longer than 7 days if they have an order from court allowing them to do this. You may find it useful to read our webpage on contact here for more information.
You say you have contacted the IRO about this to no avail. I therefore advise that you make a formal complaint to the local authority about the lack of response and failure to set up any contact. Please see here for more information on how to do this.
You may also want to consider seeking legal advice with a view to applying to the courts for contact under section 34 of the Children Act. This page is really helpful in explaining this more.
As your child's parent, children's services should be providing you with updates on their life. This includes getting your views on their care plan, and inviting you to looked after child reviews. If this has not been happening, again, I would advise that you make a formal complaint.
I hope this is helpful.
Best wishes,
Suzie.
