Unread post by VB2008 » Mon Aug 26, 2024 7:22 pm

Hi,

Do Final Care Orders, from the Court, for use with eg. Child Trust Fund access, require -

a. A Dated Court Stamp?
b. The Judges signature?

Thank you

Dear VB2008

Welcome back to the parents’ discussion board. Thank you for your post.

You are querying whether a final care order should include a dated court stamp and the judge’s signature.

I hope that the information below from the Ministry of Justice website will clarify matters for you:

Standard requirements:

29.10

(1) Every judgment or order must state the name and judicial title of the person who made it.
(2) Every judgment or order must –
(a) bear the date on which it is given or made; and
(b) be sealed by the court

You give an example of using a care order for Child Trust Fund access; you may find this information on child trust fund accounts for children in care helpful.

If you have any queries about a court order you may wish to contact the solicitor who represented you in care proceedings or the court directly.

I hope this is helpful.

Best wishes

Suzie
