Hi All,
My wife and I are currently going through false allegations of NAI we have had the care proceedings hearing and managed to avoid a ICO and our child is remaining under a section 20 with his grandmother.
We are now awaiting experts to look look over everything and hopefully confirm the mechanism for injury and prove that this was in fact an accidental injury.
My question is has anyone had any information on the criminal side that the police obtain their own medical opinion and what are the experiences you've had? I'm unsure why they would need their own when the family court have an expert paediatrician and radiologist looking into it.
Also I've just changed solicitors to Brendan Flemming's can anyone give their experiences with them?
Thank you.

Can anyone shed any light on this from their own experience?

Dear Fatheraccused24
I am sorry for the delay in responding. I searched for an answer to your question and could not find one from any past conversations or documents I am aware of; ‘the criminal side’ is beyond my expertise. I hope that another user or visitor to our Forum will be able to share their experiences.
The Police with have policies that they can (or should) share with you, perhaps a question to them might provide an answer.
There is a post that Child Protection Resource has on their website about non-accidental injuries, you can read it here. We have webpages that advise about Section 20 agreements, you can read them here.
Best wishes
Suzie
