Hi, a parenting plan arrived in my e-mail and it seems to be fairly harsh in regards to call times and visiting arrangements. My almost 3 year old is in Canada with his mother, I'm in the UK, so all I was told that it was needed to make life easier in regards to signatures for travel, passports, etc, (none of this has been a problem as I signed everything immediately) but now I worry that is about much more.
She has been rather hostile of late, refused to speak to a free moderator I had found and offered, now really tries to pressure me into signing this parenting plan, with the help of an almost as rude lawywer. Nobody bothers to talk to me, instead I was asked to speak to some (expensive) moderator, who designed the plane with her (with zero involvement by me), who isn't even in her office at the moment. She literally went away a day or two after I received the plan around the 7th of this month. the only conversation I had was that and that she asked for a retainer of 1500 Canadian dollars. As I refused she asked for 250 dollars for 2 hours, if I remember correcty.
Now I wantet to book a flight to Toronto to visit my child, first time in almost a year, and she says she won't let me see him until I sign the agreement. She will get a court order that will take up to 3, 4 months....she wouldn't feel safe to let me look after the child otherwise! (I looked after him for 15 months of his 35 months on this planet and she had nothing bad to say about it all), so it just looks like she's, again, trying to use a little boy to pressure and basically blackmail me to sign something I would like to have a 2nd opinion about, so that I know what I'm signing.
Hence I'm here. Any advice who could have a look at this parenting plan and just tell me if I should sign it or if being tricked into a very bad deal here? Any help greatly appreciated. I'm also happy to upload the plan here, if there are people who can have a look at it.
Thank you very much for any help and advice!

Re: Need help with a suggested parenting plan
Dear LondonToronto,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Parents’ Forum.
My name is Suzie and I am an online adviser responding to your enquiry today.
I am afraid your questions are outside of the scope of this service as the issues raised are addressed within private family law. Family Rights Group offers information and advice on situations in which t social workers are involved with the family.
Also your child is resident in Canada and we only give advice relevant to England. I am not sure if any of the arrangements you write about were agreed in the U.K.
You mention mediators in Canada and possibly also in the U.K.
You may find useful information on the Child Law Advice website here.
Family Mediation Council may also be a useful resource here
Family Lives have online resources on the emotional issues involved in co-parenting and contact for separated and divorced partners. You can link to this here. Family Lives also have a helpline on 0808 800 2222 .
It would not be suitable for you to upload the parenting plan here as we are not the right agency to help. Please also bear in mind that this is a public forum and your specific family plan could contain identifying details and breach your family's privacy.
I am sorry that I cannot be of further help.
Best wishes,
Suzie
