Allowed to record Social work visits on video ??

Unread post by JaqMar House » Sat Oct 05, 2013 12:08 am

Hallo,

I just read the following from this website...

Are we allowed to record Social Work visits on Video camera?

And make notes on everything that is said....then ask them to sign the notes...leaving their signature on the notes - before they leave.

I think the advice given in the (American) website above is excellent.

Any comments?

Dear JaqMar House,

Thank you for posting. I can see that although the link is interesting- it refers to the law in America- I am worried that it might confuse people who use the forum, so I have removed it. I refer you to the parents board rule-7-“Any links that are, in our opinion..unhelpful will be taken down”.

In respect of your question about recording social work visits, please see frequently asked questions-can I record a meeting or telephone conversation with a social worker?

I hope this helps but please post back if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Suzie
