I went to my children's child protection meeting today. What an experience that was. To start with I only found out yesterday that the meeting was today, my invite got lost in the post?!
I then finally got to read reports from various people but there was a lot of wrong information on them, time to hit my head on a brick wall as, I've been told to get the mistakes changed I have to contact the various agency's involved bear in mind today was the first time I had meet many of these people.
Today was a horrible experience, to be judged by a room full of people you have never meet before whom appear to know your family better than yourself. After 2 long hours of been judged a' fit mother whom has done all she can for her children' seemed like a waste of time as my son is a 'child in need' and my two daughters are on the 'child protection'. My son thinks its a joke when I explained, he's 17 next week. He asked if social services will get him a job! I

Re: wrong infomation on reports
My social worker contacted me today about the information on the reports that is wrong. She is apparently going to assist me in getting it changed. We have arranged dates for a home visit as they now understand that I work. Lets see if they keep to there side but don't trust them as far as I can throw them.

Sociel services for children have been a real nighmare to us and the children for 3 months now the children should never have been put into in care, (thats a joke as well care) but lies got the children put there , does any of them report the truth in their reports, you try to getting real help to fight against their false statments about you or your family, there is none, your on your own, sociel services can do and say what they like and there is no one to stop them, not even the Police. I would like to know what councils are the worst there must be a group finding out this info. from "Thats the way I've been made"

Hi Alan. I've been through my reports with a marker pen it now looks very colourful. It's really made me angry that its basic information that they have got wrong, don't know if it will work for me but I have found in my children's health records kept at home written proof off their then health visitors and I have kept all letters from their consultants as 2 of my children have epilepsy. Good luck with your continuing battle don't let them get you too down as then they have won.

Re: wrong infomation on reports
Don't get me started, I have has so much misinformation on my reports, missing reports, Generic copy and pasted reports form previous social workers that I am beginning to really question the competence of allot of social workers. Get what you can changed as I did, some things for me was never changed. I put in a complaint about paperwork and I got a huge apology by the end of it, Check out my thread my 4 years with children services. I have been in a child protection conference, they are not pretty and very distressing. They leave you without counselling with the fallout. It is a joke and a disgrace to human rights in my opinion. To put people through this situation without emotional support is disgracefulness and their must be a better way then to dump someone in a room with 20 people and all discuss your faults. Sometimes I feel like marching right down to the house of commons and lords, tell them to stop yelling and bantering at each other like school kids and sort this mess out.

Re: wrong infomation on reports
Hi blueplain I have only just found out today from an email dated 16/10/13 that my letter for my cp meeting was sent by registered post. Bare in mind I check my emails at least twice a day this was actually sent to my work email how they got the address pass I cant recall giving it to them. Doesn't help I work for the NHS and I have to have a meeting with my line manager to explain yes I work with vulnerable people and my own children have been put on cp . I have my first core meeting on the 28th no one has told me what's going to happen history repeating already. I don't have a meeting with the ss until 31st surely should be the other way round.

Reading all of these notices and replies all of us have the same major problem Social Services find it hard to tell the real truth. Blatant lies to cover for each over’s failed work to care for your child or children, even putting them at risk. Feel so sorry for all you good parents its a nightmare and who's out there to really help us????? Advice write down everything that is said and what you say to social services log calls take photo evidence on your mobile if you need to but always remember trust no one but you.
