Child in care
My son who is nearly 5 and is serverly disabled got taken into care in June 2013, the judge granted an interim care order while I go under assessments to see if I can cope with my son needs, they said it will be a 26 week case but social workers aren't getting there reports in on time so when I go back to the court it gets extended, my son has now been in care for 8 months now and he is missing being with me, I see him 3 times a week and at the end of the contact session he is crying mummy, mummy and it's very upsetting, I'm also due to give birth in 4 weeks times, now social services want to put my son up for adoption or long term foster care, clearly I want him home and i won't stop fighting for him

Re: Child in care
Dear Laura1989
Thank you for your post.
I am sorry that you are going through such a difficult time with the current proceedings relating to your son but also due to the fact you are due to give birth in the near future.
Whilst it may seem that there is little you can do to make a difference so that the court rules in your favour please try to remain positive and ensure that the contact you have with them is as positive as possible.
Furthermore, I would be asking your solicitor if in their opinion they feel there is anything else you can do to help your case at this tine.
Best Wishes
Suzie
