baby currently staying with Maternal Grandparents

Unread post by wkdboi » Wed Jun 25, 2014 8:21 pm

Hi All,

I really need some re-assurance here, I am the father of my 3month old daughter, who I took to the doctors as she managed to cut her tongue and it was really bleeding, so they sent us to Children's Hosp, That was on the 4th June, whilst their and during the initial assessment they picked up on a bruise on her leg and some markings on her arm, SS got called in and baby placed with grandparents, we are now facing a CPC with view to them doing a PLO shortly after.

Were it gets sticky is I am now being arrested tomorrow when I volunteer go down to give me statement the officer has said I will be arrested on Suspicion of Child Abuse, the thing is she has brusing coming up even now at Grandparents, so we know this is not being caused by us as a family. We also know what caused the markings on her arms, this was down to her swing chair and the restraints being to tight, She grows fast. the only unexplanable thing is the cut on her tongue, but she has had small one before so we weren't concerend.

I am at a loss as to what evidence they have to Arrest me on as it seems to be purely the pedatricians report... As she has written in it Excessive force a number of times.

We want to do right by our little girl and don't wish to see her placed into care, as grandparents have stated they can't have her long term.

Just looking for some support/advice if anyone has been through this with police and knows the deal please do post I need all the help I can get :)

Thanks

Okay been arrested as of today and let out on bail with condition of no unsupervised contact, solicitor says they have no evidence, minus what the doctor says..

So now we have the cpc - sec 47 tomorrow and have to wait and see what the outcome of that is but I have strong belief Doctor will push for me to be charged as she is unhappy with the reasons we provided, and 99% Certain it will go to PLO, what happens next?
