Good day all.
Yet once again I find myself banging my head on a brick wall trying to get anywhere with Children's Services.
This time it is regarding with the lack of being able to get much response from Children's Services.
As I have said in my main post:
Removed from family home by Police & Children Services
Children's Services are near impossible to contact or get a response from, this is not just myself, but even my family solicitor has a hard time getting any kind of responses.
At first I was phoning the Children's Services asking to speak to the social worker(s) in question, and 95% of the time, I am just told, said person is not in the office, is busy, on lunch, off sick, etc.
Each time I leave my name and contact details, and request that someone calls me back, and this very rarely happens.
As I only have access to a Pay-As-You-Go mobile, this was starting to add up.
After doing a very quick and simple FOI request to my local council, I was able to find out the direct email addresses of the social worker(s).
Now I know that the emails addresses that I have been given in my FOI request are correct as the emails do not bounce back, and that I have received emails from the people in question when they wish to ask me questions, or that they feel like replying to my emails.
In the last few weeks I have sent a number of emails, but as of yet I have had no response at all to them.
It's not even like I am just sending the emails to just any social worker, the emails are being sent directly to the Assistant Team Manager and Team Manager.
But like I said I have had no response at all to my emails (questions).
Is there anything I can do about there failure / refusal to respond to me.
Thanks for your time.
Best Regards.

Re: Social Workers not responding to calls or emails
Dear Heartbrokenfather,
This is not an unusual problem. It's all to do with the CS being badly managed and dysfunctional,I'm afraid. They are like no other set of so-called 'professionals' I have ever seen or worked with. They would not know a professional ethic if one jumped out of the rule book and hit them in the face.
What I cannot understand is that, despite all this and despite advice that a court hearing is your only remedy, despite your absolute insistence throughout all these months that you have done absolutely nothing wrong and despite you apparently having the full support of your wife and children, you still did not take the chance and have the confidence to force a court hearing by going home when you could before the bail condition was applied.
The only way they could have avoided a hearing would have been by giving in or if your wife had ill-advisedly signed an S20. I can only conclude that you have no confidence in the impartiality of the family court system. You aren't the only one ,of course.( See Ian Hemming website).
Perhaps, you would explain.I know Anxious ( have you read her thread?) Got there after six months but the difference is they were listening and talking to her but not to you.
As you are so desperate to get home and as the children are so obviously suffering ongoing mental torture and degradation( being deprived of their father) against their human rights, try writing to you local Director of Communities and People if you haven't already and perhaps your MP again. However, even if your MP contacts the Prime Minister as Blueplains did, you will only be advised of the same remedy he was.
In the meantime, consider how you might be able to apply to a court to get the bail conditions lifted on the grounds that no reasons for them have been set out. Otherwise you will have to resign yourself to a long exile.

Re: Social Workers not responding to calls or emails
Thanks again for your reply.
I will be sending yet another email to both the Assistant Team Manager and Team Manager this week, but before I do so I want to find out the Management Structure for my local Children's Services.
Does anyone happen to know what the typical management structure for children's services is?
I am just in the middle of typing up an email to my local council asking for a list and contact details for children's services management structure, I will be sending two emails, one directly to the council help desk, and one to the FOI department.
Once I have the details, I will then send yet another email to both Assistant Team Manager and Team Manager, but also include higher management in the email.
If I still fail to get a response I will once again be contacting my local MP.
Thanks again for your time.
Best Regards.

Re: Social Workers not responding to calls or emails
Dear heartbrokenfather, haven't you learnt yet that you are just wasting your time sending e-mail after e-mail to the CS? They will just keep saying you don't understand the issues and continue to establish a myth that you are mentally deranged!
All you need to know about the CS management structure is that it is inadequate and dysfunctional as indicated clearly by OFSTED.
Once again I advise you to contact the Director of Communities and People. You can find his address via a helpful link on Blueplain's thread of the same name.
Also, see about getting the bail conditions lifted unless you are willing to wait until November. If you don't, your children will have to bear prolonged mental torture and degradation.
A further suggestion: Try, as an experiment, approaching a human rights solicitor.Tell him about the bail conditions and how no reasons have been given for them.Tell him about the torture and degradation your family is suffering. This time, do not mention that the Local Authority and the CS are involved.Let's just see whether it makes any difference.

Re: Social Workers not responding to calls or emails
ange301126: Thanks for your replies as always.
I know what you are saying and fully understand what you are saying, But I still have to try and contact children's services, and as I am sending emails directly to the Assistant Team Manager and Team Manager, I have a full record of what questions I have asked, and any response if any that I get.
This way when there are any meetings and or conferences, etc. Where any other parties are involved I can pull out a copy of any and all emails, and disclose the lack of response or engagement of children's services.
Now saying the above I have now had an email back to do with one of my emails I sent, this reply did take two weeks to get a response.
Regarding the current bail condition this is something I am still working on, and will be cover in my main post as I don't wish for my posts to start going off topic.
Best Regards.
