Hi was wonderin if u could help me.
The social work have been involved with me since I was 6weeks pregnant due to my baby's dad's record and mental health issues.
I was 13 weeks pregnant and he got the jail got a 6month sentence and done 3months of it. He then got out the end of April this year. We met up and he had came to my home address and my family phoned up to tell the social work this informTion. And at my 1st case meetin which was on the 5th of June 2014 the baby was to get placed into temporary care but further assesment had to go on aswell and there would b another case meetin on the 22nd of July. And we had a plan to keep to.
I finished the relationship with my self and baby's dad and stopped all contact from him I have also got a panic alarm in my house and have got the gaz mark on my house aswell. Baby's dad kept kickin off at the core meetings and was workin with the social work I have turned up 4 all my meetings and doin wat the social work have asked.
I started havin contact with an old male friend that I have been friends with 4 years so I told my social workers about him and gave his name to them so they knew a was hidin anythin.
A went to my case meetin on the 22nd of July 2014 baby's dad kicked off and walked out the meetin. They were makin the decision on wat was to happen with the baby and said that they have no reason 4 baby not to come home to me cause I don't have a criminal record never harmed a child and never touched drugs and they said the only a can prove to them that a will not bring risk to am baby is to allow me to bring him home with me. But with all the support a will need with outreach workers comin out 2 the house 7days a week and other supports cumin out so that was a great out come I was over the moon.
But then a got a phone call on the 23rd of July to say a had to go bk into another case meetin on the 24th of July as further information had been given out by the police on my ex partner. So a went in and they had changed the outcome to me and baby gettin placed into mother and baby unit a wasn't happy about it but a was willin to do it. As I will have to find sumwere 4 my dog to go to.
Then on Monday 28th of July my social worker and head social worker came out to my house to tell me that the baby is gettin taken off of me and they r only accommodation him when he gets out of the hospital. Due to me seein my old friend and cause he has a criminal record. I just don't understand how it's went from mother and baby unit to me not bein with my child at all. So I have got to go into hospital 2 say bye to my baby.
Could u plz give me a bit of advise as my head is all over the place and is stressing me out while am tryin to stay strong aswell thanks

Dear Babsie
Welcome to the parent's discussion board. My name is Suzie, one of FRG's online advisers.
I am sorry to hear that you are going through such difficulties due to Children's Services involvement in the late stages of your pregnancy at what is already a stressful time for you.
It seems that the Local Authority are seeking your consent to accomodate or place your baby in a foster placement. If no agreement is reached between you, it is likely they will consider issuing care proceedings and ask the court to make a decision.
As a parent and someone who would have parental responsiblity for your baby, if you are faced with the possibility of having to go to court you will be entitled to free legal representation.
Under the circumstances, can I strongly advise you to seek urgent legal advice about your situation from a children's law solicitor at law society so that you can discuss your options and plan the best way forward at this time.
If you wish to speak to an adviser about your situation please feel free to contact our advice line on 0808 801 0366.
Best Wishes
