Advice about social workers

Hi can anyone advice me or offer any tips about meeting social worker . My partners children were taken into long term foster care and there has just being the second lac review I was mentioned about meeting my partners children and we have been waiting months for a dbs check now it's done the social worker wants to meet me alone .all we want is to be a proper family together but we seem to keep coming across lots of negatives by social services .We don't get informed how long children will be in care for or anything any ideas please thanks ..

Hi the Dbs check is a newer version of a crb check , criminal record check ,This took social services nearly four months to do after repeatedly asking so I can meet my partners children who are in care .
