getting my daughter back

My mum currently looks after my daughter cos i had drug problems in the past. I am clean (for 6 months), go to all my counselling sessions etc and have a job, house etc. My social worker doesnt want to return m y daughter to me, even though she cries on the phone saying she wants to come home......what can i do? :/

Dear Britestar,

Thank you for posting on the parents’ board. To answer your question-can you first of all tell me the following:
Is your daughter placed with your Mum under a court order (such as a care order or interim care order)? Or is she “accommodated”, placed there with your agreement?
Is there a private law order such as a residence order or a special guardianship order in your mums favour?
What is your daughters’ approximate age and how long has she been with your Mum?
