my daughter

Unread post by mumdonna36 » Thu Jul 23, 2015 1:08 pm

Hello everyone. I am very new here. Have only read 1 post so far. and it's broke me onto tears. basically my beautiful daughter is 12years old. she is sadly placed with connected persons carers until age 18. thing is she in a different county to who initially messed up our lives. It hurts very bad. though I accept my daughter is in a loving home. However I want the social service team to change to where she lives. as I feel that would make more sense. any suggestions please?
Thank you in advance

Dear Mumdonna36

Welcome to the parent's discussion board. My name is Suzie, one of FRG's online advisers.

I am sorry to hear that your 12 year old daughter is no longer living with you, and that she is living abroad with a plan is for her to live with alternative carers until she is 18 years old.

I can hear that it must be particularly distressing for you especially if not only is she placed elsewhere, the distance of the placement could be preventing you from being more involved in her day to day life.

In order to provide you with more accurate advice, would it be possible to give a few more details about your situation including a brief summary about your background situation which may have led to her being placed with connected persons and whether she is placed under a court order such as a special guardianship or child arrangement order.

Best Wishes

Suzie
