Social serv changed their support and put my child at child at risk

Unread post by Formysonagain » Wed Nov 04, 2015 10:23 pm

Hi
im having a really bad time at the moment.
Ive been ringing police reporting dad drink driving our child and it took 5x for police to refer it to ss, as Child at Risk. A duty worker rang and asked why i hadnt stopped contact. Told her still scarred of him . Have no support at handover at security guarded tesco.i told her still scarred of dad and told i need evidence by 3 solicitors. Or no point of taking it to court.
They rang childs school to tell him no overnight contact. I got taxi and got him early but dad sent threatening tex so was terrified he sneak up and hurt me and snatch our 5yr old. I got our stuff together and got train to my sisters in other town and rang womensaid. I didnt know if it was right to go, as wasnt attacked yet and. Hadnt said im going to.knife/punch you.." in so many words. But was offered refuge cos message said he report me to police, when breaching is not dealt with via police. I tried to use them myself.
School head had held our son. Now they are saying that dad isnt posing a risk when they havent done the assesment! Very strange. They have no info from any organisations or spoke to his dr. They are refusing to safeguard our son, by doing this. I dont understand whats going on. I rang complaint line and a patient lady noted everything and sent me email straightaway to confirm shes approaching manager and sent me complaints leaflet. As shes posting it as,A Concern. It needs to be sorted court. The 13th. They told me to stop contact or id loose my child. Strange.

Dear Formysonagain

Welcome to the parents’ discussion board.

My name is Suzie, an adviser from the Family Rights’ Group, an organisation that advises where Childrens’ Services are involved.

I can see form the information you have posted that you are frustrated by the lack of Childrens’ Services involvement as you feel that your child is being placed at risk and you are receiving alleged threats from your child’s father which must be distressing for you.

I wonder if it is possible to clarify the type of court hearing due to take place. For instance, had you intended to apply for a Non-Molestation order, a Child Arrangement Order or is the intention for the Local Authority to issue care proceedings because of concerns they have about your child’s welfare because this will effect the type of advice you are given here.

Once you have responded to these queries I will be better placed to provide you with more accurate advice, relevant to your situation.

I hope this helps.

Best Wishes

Suzie
