Family Group Conference Lead

The role
The candidate would act as a point of contact for Social workers, Practice Managers, Team Managers in H&F and FGC Providers to maintain the current level of service provision. Key areas of work: Support and Receive Referrals, Liaise with FGC Providers, Track progress of FGCs, Review and Provide Data as well as Promote the use of FGCs. Key aims of the FGC Service is to prevent Children and Young People from entering Care, Reduce the number of Care Proceedings and Identify potential Connected Persons as Carers. The role will also involve liasing with FGC Leads across the boroughs of RBKC and WCC and will be supervised by a Primary FGC Lead.

Essentials
The candidate must demonstrate a solid knowledge of the principles and practice of the FGC model of working. Essential the candidate has completed accreditated FGC Coordinator training, have experience of preparing and attending Children and Families FGCs either as a social worker or a FGC Coordinator and ideally some Project/ Practice management experience. Children and Families Social Work qualification required.

Who are we talking to?
The candidiate is likely to be managing a FGC service or have extensive experience of faciliting complex FGCs or working as a Children and Families Social Worker/ Practice Manager with prior experience of facilitating FGCs or managing a FGC service.
