Help please
Me an my ex partner had a fight recently which ended up in police being called, social services contacted me yesterday and said they she’s coming tomorrow to do an assessment, there has been police reports from couple years back about 3 years where we would argue and I would call the police for them to remove him from the house, nothing has ever happened in front of my children before apart from last week. We aren’t together he doesn’t live in the home I’m nervous and scared what will happen

Dear Pinkstar
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Board.
If the visit of the social worker has not happened yet, do have a look at information from our website about domestic abuse – information for parents.
The social worker is likely to begin an assessment, here is information from our website about this.
Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 is an excellent guide to read, do start reading from page 26 which provides information about how social workers manage individual cases.
We have a confidential telephone advice line service where you can speak to one of our advisers about your situation. It is open 9.30am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). The telephone number is 0808 801 0366.
I hope this information is helpful.
Best wishes
Suzie
