The social worker was very unprofessional and a liar?

Cafcass social workers claim to have the children's best interest and wellbeing, and seek the children's true feelings and wishes as their goal. From my experience she was completely unprofessional and a liar, all she did was reinterate the father's false allegations without any investigation or evidence, she reported an entire one sided story, and ignored the children's feelings and wishes! Furthermore the court believes the social workers and takes their word for it, in making their court order. There is no justice in the system!

I am sorry but your issue does not appear to fall within the remit of our service. You seem to be unhappy about matters relating to a private law family case and the recommendations made by Cafcass and children's services. If this matter has not concluded, you could ask the court to allow you to do a statement to deal with the evidence from Cafcass and children's services.

It is also open to you to make a formal complaint about how Cafcass managed the case. If you are unrepresented you can seek advice from Child Law Advice on 0300 330 5480.

If the court has made a final decision recently and you are within the time limit to appeal the decision, you may wish to consider doing so if you believe the court failed to look at all the evidence and apply the facts appropriately. Child Law Advice can give you more information if this is something you wish to consider.

Dear Suzie
Our experience is that the whole system is ridiculously unfair and unjust. We've tried whatever we could, but everytime been hit with brickwalls. There's going to be a fact finding hearing in 8 month's time, a truly unreasonable and insensitive long time for the children to endure a complete change of living arrangement.
We fear that making a cafcass complaint now will jeopardise the case.
2 appeals have been filed, but has vanished into thin air, courts not willing to consider them.
Child Law Advice offers no help, all they said was get a lawyer.
The results will be that the children and parent's lives will have been ruined for no valid reason whatsoever.

Thank you for your further post. I am sorry that your family situation will not be resolved for some time: I understand your concern about making a complaint to CAFCASS.

I am sorry that you were not able to get help from Child Law Advice.

May I signpost you to information about fact finding hearings from Courts and Tribunals Judiciary and We Are Advocate. I do not know if these signposts with be helpful, as we suggested in our previous post your family situation seems to fall outside the remit of our work. Here however is information about making a complaint about children’s services or an individual social worker.
