Dear all,
I was wondering, many parents, which had the children removed by social services had appealed about the decision in the court of appeals?
Also how many of them which appealed was refused the appeal?
And if after receiving the refused decision, had appeal to European Court of Human Rights?
Which is the stage I am at the moment.
I need to log my application on ECRH.
However, I am really struggling in the UK find a solicitor to deal with this issue.
Has anyone here found a solicitor who is willing to take the case to the ECHR?
Thank you all.
Remember you all never stop fighting for your kids.
Thank you all in advance.

Dear Mickyrio
Welcome to the parents’ discussion board. Thank you for your post. My name is Suzie. I am Family Rights Group’s online adviser.
I am sorry to hear that your children were removed from your care. You made an appeal, but it was refused. You are now planning to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights. You want to hear from other parents who may have done this. I hope that another parent or parents will respond to you.
Unfortunately, I am not able to provide you with any detailed or specialist advice about appeals, including to the European Court of Human Rights. I can see that you are struggling to find a solicitor to assist you. We are unable to recommend solicitors, but I would suggest that you search for one who is a specialist in human rights and public law.
You may find it helpful to check with the following:
Law Society find a solicitor
We are Advocate
Liberty
Direct Access Barrister Portal
I hope that this helps.
If you would like some emotional support, you may be interested in Family Line or Mothers Apart from their Children (MATCH) .
If you need any specific advice about children’s services, please contact the advice service again by posting on this board or via one of the following methods linked to here .
Best wishes
Suzie

Re: European Court of Human Rights
I'm in the same situation. But I'm Peruvian, so I don't think European court of Human Rights could help me. I really want my baby again with me, social workers and fostering never help me to understand their worries, they treat me as a criminal knowing I was alone in this country, all my support was my british husband, but they wanted we divorced so that put me in an isolated situation, very weak emotional
. Good luck with your case. I hope with all my heart you can recover your kids.

Dear Moniquita40
Thank you for your post and welcome to the discussion board. My name is Suzie, I am an online adviser and will be replying to you today.
I am sorry to hear of your situation. It sounds stressful and isolating. I do not know the circumstances of your situation and whether your child has been adopted or living with a family relative.
If your child has been adopted then 'letter box' contact may have been agreed. Please do check out the link HERE for further information and guidance.
I have added an organisation HERE that you may find helpful. It is a link to Matchmothers. They provide emotional support for mothers who are no longer caring for their children.
I have further added a link HERE to the Samaritans. They provide free telephone advice 24 hours a day. They also have different ways you can contact them. Please do check out their website.
Should you wish to discuss your situation with an adviser please do call our advice line. We use language line to access interpreters if you would prefer to speak about your situation and what advice you are seeking, in your first language.
Best wishes, Suzie.
