Partners baby
So I had a child and social involved not through any fault just nasty malicious stuff anyway I was in a bad post partum depression and drs never caught on and they came at a vulnerable time and I agreed to voluntarily restbite as it was promised it would be temporary and I signed due to having no help at all and being 17 I lost my child to socials lies and such I went to every meeting every assessment done everything in my power that they wanted yet I still lost and this was few years ago I’m with a new partner who’s got a baby and socials involved due to the mother attacking me and stabbing him but there’s talk of getting me vetted what’s the chances I’ll pass as I’ve no convictions or criminal records no arrests and no court orders to stay away from children thanks for any help just want to know if anyone else has gone through or been there x

Dear Babybear23
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Forum.
It seems that your question is whether you will be assessed positively to ‘be around’ or have contact with your partner’s child.
However, from what you have written it seems that the risk of significant harm may be related to the child’s mother attacking you and the father (domestic abuse).
In both cases social workers will want to assess and explore how the child might or will be safe. Your ‘history/past’ will be taken into account but may not be the main focus of social worker interaction with your partner’s child.
Best wishes
Suzie
