General Election 2024: let’s put kinship care in the rooms where it matters
If you have stepped in as kinship carer to raise a child, you will know that it can be a struggle to access the practical, emotional and financial support that you and your children need.
Kinship care has been undervalued and under supported for too long. We know it doesn’t have to be this way.
The general election campaign has kicked off and the candidates in your area are campaigning for your vote. It’s your chance to make them sit up and listen.
Email your candidates:
Will you help by sending an email today to your local candidates? It only takes 3 minutes with our easy tool.
We have a few weeks to make sure candidates understand the struggles facing kinship families. To tell them why we are calling on the next Government to urgently bring forward an ambitious plan for investing in kinship care for children who cannot remain at home.
Use our easy tool to email your candidates today.
Get ready to vote:
Register to vote or check that your details are up to date on gov.uk.
Make sure that you have got your photographic ID to vote in person.
If you think you might find it difficult to vote in person on 4th July, apply for a postal vote.
Together we can put kinship care in the rooms where it matters in this general election. Together we can secure the changes families need.
Thanks so much for your help!
