Hi
Our 2 grandchildren have been placed with other grandmother of the eldest as she was further along in the assessment process for an SGO. We are still being assessed so we can offer respite care. Believe its in court in about 8 weeks. We have been told if we feel they would be better with us we could get a solicitor and contest but because they have already been placed, they will probably not move them. Has anyone any experience of this - what would the likelihood be of them being moved again? We were happy to just get them out of foster placement to begin with but now we are concerned that the child which is not biologically hers is not being treated the same as the one that is.

Re: SGO with 2 sets of grandparents
Keep going ahead with your assessment and voice any of your concerns to your social worker. We had 2/3 people all being assessed in our case and the social worker told us it would be better for the children to be placed separately and then we would all be respite for each other and get them together regularly. That way they would all get the attention and time that they needed whilst still being in close contact with each other. I wonder if they would place one child with each of you? Is you have someone who is doing your assessments coming out regularly then speak to her as she will be able to offer good advice. Good luck
