Case

Post by Plam » Mon Apr 07, 2025 9:47 am

Good day everyone. I can share my case and what is happening to us as parents. I have 2 beautiful children that I have not seen for 15 months, there is even a court order to see them but to no avail. My children were kidnapped from school on 11/22/23 without police or court order. The story I have could write a whole book, it is so big. I continue the fight and I am also looking for lawyers. If anyone can give advice or help, I will be grateful.

Dear Plam

Welcome to the parents’ discussion board. Thank you for your post. My name is Suzie. I am Family Rights Group’s online adviser.

I am sorry to hear that you have not been able to see your two children for the last 15 months. You say that you have a court order which states that you should see them, but contact is still not happening. From the information provided, they left school and moved elsewhere in November 2023. It is not clear if you know the reason why or whether there were allegations made prior to them the children leaving.

I can understand that this situation must have been quite confusing and is distressing for you.

It is not clear from your post whether your children have children’s services’ involvement including whether there has been a public law court process e.g. care proceedings. But you have posted under the ‘do you have a child in care’ topic so this may be the case. If this is so, please post back to clarify what children’s services’ current role is and to ask a specific question. Please also see our advice information on children in care under a court order for advice about what to do to have contact with your children if they are in care.

You say that you are looking for lawyers. Please see this link to legal advice services which provides contact details to help you find a solicitor.

However, if children’s services were not involved then the children may have moved away with their mother and that the court order you mention may be a child arrangements order (spends time with). Unfortunately, private law matters do not meet the remit of our service, and we are not funded to provide advice in these types of situations. If this is the situation, then I would suggest that you contact one of the services below to access private law advice about the order that is in place and how to implement it.

Child Law Advice. They do have a telephone helpline which you can reach on 0300 330 5480. In addition, they offer helpful information and guidance for parents/carers in your type of situation and have ‘how to’ guides that you can download for around £2 each. Please do check out their website.

Advicenow is a website that helps you find the best information and advice for your legal problems. You can choose from a range of categories, such as divorce and separation, child custody and residence, and more.

Both Parents Matter is a charity that helps parents (regardless of marital status or gender) navigate family separation and maintain contact with their children. It offers information, advice, support, and advocacy through a helpline, online forum, and branches across the UK.

I hope this is helpful.

Please do contact the advice service again if you have a specific question about children’s services’ involvement with your children. You can either post back or use one of the other options for getting advice linked to here.

Best wishes

Suzie

Thank you for the answer. I can describe a small part of the incident, how things developed with names and dates. Since the whole process is illegal, I have all the evidence for the incident. So far, I have filed a complaint with the police, a complaint with the chief of police, social services, and the Ministry of Justice. The case was closed 2 months ago. There are 4 investigations into the case of how the children were taken away. I hope everything will be closed soon and they will return them to me.

Dear Plam,
Thank you for your further post.

I hope that you found the previous detailed response useful.

Family Rights Group give general advice only, so please do not post a detailed account of incidents with names and dates on this forum as this could compromise your own confidentiality and that of others.

You may find it useful to call the advice line and speak to an experienced adviser on our free telephone advice line open Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3pm (excluding Bank Holidays) The number is 0808 801 0366.

You could also submit an email enquiry (without names or personal details of people involved). The enquiry form is here.
