C2 Family Law Query

Unread post by 99problems » Sun Jan 26, 2025 11:52 am

Good Afternoon

Quick few queries about the C2 form?

Have a first hearing (specific issue order) coming up.
Mum took our child and changed schools without consent/knowledge (when it came out i notified new school and child now in limbo and not attending school)
Our daughter is 4

Due to recent developments (mum cutting off contact and not being able to see our child)

I'm applying for C2 to be heard along side Specific Issue Order so both matters addressed together

Right now help with below....

1)On C2 do I state intentions (I want a interim chikd arrangement order made on the day)
Or do i say it on court day in person

2)Do I need to send her a copy (Filled in so she can see what I'm doing)

3)Can I get away with sending 3x copies to court stating 1 for you 1 for mum 1 for cafcass (and they then send it)

Little one not in school (hence c100 originally)
Since then mum refusing contact (hence c2)

From the child's perspective and with court ruling surely this would be the best (albeit temp)

So i can see our child and they can return to school (mum stopped both and hence going to court to address)

No issues/safeguarding

I'm just trying to do it the right way and need some guidance

Thank you....!

Dear 99problems,

Welcome to the parents’ discussion forum and thank you for posting.

At Family Rights Group we provide advice and information when Children’s Services in England are involved or when you wish them to become involved in your family life.

From the information you have provided this is not the situation for you and your family.

Instead you are seeking advice in relation to a private law matter, which is when there are disputes between parents or carers about things like where a child lives and how much time they spend with each parent.

Unfortunately, private law matters do not meet the remit of our service, and we are not funded to provide advice in these types of situations.

I would suggest you contact the following organisations, who may be able to assist you:

Child Law Advice. They have a telephone helpline which you can reach on 0300 330 5480. In addition, they offer helpful information and guidance for parents/carers in your type of situation and have ‘how to’ guides that you can download for around £2 each. Please do check out their website.

Advicenow is a website that helps you find the best information and advice for your legal problems. You can choose from a range of categories, such as divorce and separation, child custody and residence, and more.

Families Need Fathers is a charity that helps parents (regardless of marital status or gender) navigate family separation and maintain contact with their children. It offers information, advice, support, and advocacy through a helpline, online forum, and branches across the UK

If we have misunderstood your post above and you do indeed have a question about your family’s involvement with children’s services, please do contact us again. You can repost on this forum or send us an advice enquiry form detailing your current involvement with children’s services and your specific question

Our Advice Service also offers:

Easy to follow online information. Features include an A-Z, FAQs, films, ‘top tips’ and legal advice sheets;

A  webchat service where you can message an adviser online, who will help you find information and advice to support you.

A free telephone advice line open Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3pm (excluding Bank Holidays) on 0808 801 0366.

I hope this is helpful

Suzie
