Our online advice forums are an anonymous space where parents and kinship carers (also known as family and friends carers) can get legal and practical advice, build a support network and learn from other people’s experiences.

Stuart Black has worked in military product development, blue-chip board consultancy, and healthcare. He was executive director at the Cromwell Hospital in Kensington 2009-2012. Common themes are understanding complex systems, challenging conventional thinking and creating new possibilities. He recently founded a social enterprise applying neuroscience to mental health, transforming life outcomes for those who have suffered childhood adversity. In 2017 a friend died leaving three children aged 5, 6 and 14. 18 months and 11 court hearings later, Stuart and his partner became their special guardians.
