Our advice service

Are you a parent, kinship carer relative or friend of a child who is involved with, or who needs the help of, children’s services in England? We can help you understand processes and options when social workers or courts are making decisions about your child’s welfare.

Our advice service is free, independent and confidential.

About this service

Adoptionplus has been providing birth relative counselling services to local authorities since 2004. We have a team of male and female counsellors who are qualified and accredited. We are experienced in supporting birth families. Our aim is to provide a helpful and supportive service.

This service is available for birth families in

Bedford, Luton, Peterborough, Southend-on-Sea, Thurrock, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk
