Our online advice forums are an anonymous space where parents and kinship carers (also known as family and friends carers) can get legal and practical advice, build a support network and learn from other people’s experiences.
Our get help and advice section has template letters, advice sheets and resources about legal and social care processes. On Monday and Thursday afternoons, you can use our webchat service to chat online to an adviser.
The permanency support team offers a wider range of support to birth families, including Information about the process of adoption; signposting to other support services, such as housing or counselling; arranging to meet 1-1 or speaking via the telephone; sharing relevant information and answering any questions birth parents have. We can also help a birth parent to consider what information they may wish their child to have in the future.
