Our online advice forums are an anonymous space where parents and kinship carers (also known as family and friends carers) can get legal and practical advice, build a support network and learn from other people’s experiences.
Our get help and advice section has template letters, advice sheets and resources about legal and social care processes. On Monday and Wednesday afternoons, you can use our webchat service to chat online to an adviser.
We support mothers who have experienced a child/children removed from their care, including emotional support and support with contact both face to face and by letter as well as indirect contact such as meeting the adopters. We offer support to navigate child protection related procedures, and can support with linking into other services and practical support. We aim to respond to the needs of our families as best we can from a person-centred approach, so we find out what they might want help with and if we can’t help we can link in with the relevant service.
